MOLO Restaurant is located in Lipno nad Vltavou, directly above the water. The views of the lake and the surrounding Šumava landscape are not merely a backdrop, but a natural part of the entire dining experience.
Just as the landscape around us changes throughout the year, so do the ingredients we work with and the form of our menu. Each visit can therefore bring different flavours, a different atmosphere and a new experience.
Cuisine Based on Respect for Ingredients
We primarily work with high-quality seasonal ingredients and with what the surrounding nature and local farms have to offer at any given time. We strive to make the most of every ingredient – from its familiar parts to those that are often overlooked. This allows us to create new flavours, textures and unexpected combinations while reducing unnecessary waste.
Our menu naturally evolves with the seasons, the weather and the current availability of ingredients. We do not want nature to follow our cuisine. Instead, we let our cuisine follow what nature has to offer.

The kitchen at MOLO Restaurant is led by Executive Chef Petr Vaněk. His approach combines Czech culinary roots, seasonal ingredients and inspiration from Nordic cuisine.
Every dish begins with an idea, followed by a search for the most suitable ingredients, combinations and preparation techniques. The result is intended to be more than just food on a plate – it should be a complete experience that guests take away with them.
Menus and Dining Experiences
At MOLO Restaurant, you can choose from several menu options. We offer tasting menus of different lengths, an à la carte selection, a lunch menu and a children’s menu.
The tasting menu can be complemented by a wine or non-alcoholic pairing. Throughout the year, we also prepare special menus, themed tasting evenings and other culinary events.
